Our city cries out in unison with our nation as we mourn the injustice against another Black life, George Floyd.
George's dying words "I can't breathe" can be applied to the generational oppression of minority groups in America. Words cannot describe the pain and anger that our Black community and allies feel. Of course there are strong feelings and reactions.
Injustice and hate are unacceptable regardless of White privilege or law enforcement power.
Change starts with you and me. Talk to each other. Listen to each other. Be kind to all.
